Shepperd S.O.S. (System of Service) Program:
Strong leaders make strong nations. The Shepperd Leadership Institute is dedicated to the idea that every young Texan can play a vital role in our state's future leadership. The Institute exists to strengthen our state by empowering and educating our youth about civic responsibility in their schools, their families, and their communities.
Through interactive opportunities, students learn about the group process, leadership, self-esteem, while acquiring skills which provide lifelong benefits. The program also gives students the opportunity to meet and work with key leaders in their communities.
Held throughout the State of Texas, these events are offered at no cost to the student and minimal cost to the community. The staff of the Shepperd Leadership Institute provides materials, training to the local facilitators and support throughout the event.
