About The Texas Leadership Forum

The Texas Leadership Forum is an intense leadership training program designed to draw on the experience of current Texas leaders in order to develop the leaders of the future. Participants:

  • hear leading authorities discuss today's issues facing the State of Texas
  • engage in hands-on breakout sessions to develop creative solutions to these issues
  • compete for the opportunity to be named sponsor on a bill to be presented to the Texas Legislature
  • choose from individualized leadership training options
  • explore and learn practical leadership skills
  • network with other professionals, as well as business, political and educational leaders

General John Ben Shepperd guided the Texas Leadership Forum to its present form, always insisting that it be an interactive discussion about issues of public leadership. Held annually, the event honors Shepperd's legacy of action, encouragement and public involvement. The Texas Leadership Forum provides a unique opportunity to meet leaders from across the state who are dedicated to improving Texas.

The 25th Annual Texas Leadership Forum is currently being planned. Check back soon for details!
