Direct Connect Program Agreement

Western Texas College and The University of Texas of
the Permian Basin are offering a special transfer
opportunity to Western Texas College students. The "Western Texas
College/UTPB Direct Connect Program" is designed to
provide Western Texas College students with special
opportunities for admission, transfer of credit, and
degree completion. The following items are the rights
and responsibilities for students in the "Western Texas
College/UTPB Direct Connect Program."


The Program is designed to facilitate successful
transfer of course work and to encourage completion of
an Associate Degree.

Successful Direct Connect Program students can
expect special admissions coordination to UTPB.
However, UTPB departments may require higher
admission requirements. All students must meet
requirements as prescribed by the UT System Board
of Regents. For admission requirements, see

The Direct Connect Program is open to all currently
enrolled and future Western Texas College students who plan
on transferring to UTPB after their sophomore year with
a minimum 2.25 GPA.

Students may enter the program at the time of
admission or prior to completing their Associate
Degree.

Participants will be provided access to UTPB advisors
and a special transfer preview program.

Students in the Direct Connect Program are
encouraged to complete their freshman and
sophomore years at Western Texas College.
